EveryFordIreland Dublin Convoy
Monday, 18 May 2009
Hi, my name is Richard Norton and Samuel Spence, the AOVC Vice Chairman, has asked me to put together a few words concerning the forthcoming AOVC Classic Show in Ballymena.
I represent a Forum by the name of www.everyfordireland.com where I go by the name of corKtina, from which you will deduce that I live in Cork and drive a Cortina. Everyfordireland is open to ALL Ford owners irrespective of the age, type or condition of the vehicle.
We have a stand booked at the Show. With nearly 1000 members throughout the Island, we don't yet know how many will attend. Many people like to see what the weather is like before setting off and many more will also belong to other Clubs no doubt.
Stand or no stand, we will be there and a convoy from Dublin is being put together (fortunately I have a bed for the night planned in Dublin!). We are all looking forward to the trip and seeing a lot of cars we didn't see before.
Samuel asked me why I was traveling such a long distance to the show - well, the short answer is a touch of insanity probably, but mileage is no obstacle to me as I take my Cortina to the UK two or three times a year. Petrol for a V6 3 litre is a matter for me and my Credit Card!
See you all there!
Richard Norton
