Irish Vintage Scene to Double their Sponsorship Spend

Irish Vintage Scene, Ireland's leading vintage vehicle magazine, is facing into a busy season ahead as they have announced they are to double their sponsorship budget this year.

Irish Vintage Scene have decided to sponsor more shows than ever this year, while most companies are cutting back such spends. When asked why the magazine was increasing its marketing budget, Editor Tom Heavey said "I firmly believe that maintaining spending on marketing activities during a recession is extremely important. A lot of companies are cutting marketing budgets at the moment, but this will only achieve short-term results.  I believe that increasing our marketing budget will result in long-term benefits for Irish Vintage Scene".  Irish Vintage Scene is taking a different approach to many companies in this present climate by increasing the marketing budget and is confident that it will benefit them. Neglecting brand support in a downturn will only weaken a brand and will make it less profitable post-recession.

Irish Vintage Scene is sponsoring numerous shows throughout the summer, all which promise to be major successes. Some such shows have already taken place and the feedback has been extremely positive. One of the biggest shows that Irish Vintage Scene is sponsoring this summer is the AOVC show. June 27th sees the AOVC Classic Car Show take place in Ballymena Showgrounds, County Antrim. This is a new venue and date for the AOVC's main event of the year, and Irish Vintage Scene, along with Classic and Collectable Club Insurances Ltd. (www.cccinsurance.co.uk) and Ballymena Borough Council, are proud to sponsor this event which promises to become the premier show in Northern Ireland this year.

This show already looks set to be a major success, with something for everyone available on the day. There will be a competition running throughout the day with the first prize being a weekend for two in the scenic surroundings of the west compliments of the Connemara Coast Hotel. With over 1,000 cars on display to be expected, a separate section for pre-war cars, a cars for sale section, remote control cars, markets, a food court and amusements, it's a day out for the vintage vehicle enthusiast and the entire family. Irish Vintage Scene will have the usual stand present at the show, but this year they will also have between 5 and 10 display cars at the stand which will be featured in the magazine in the upcoming months, so watch out for that. Tom Heavey, Editor of Irish Vintage Scene, says "We're very excited about our involvement in these upcoming shows. Each vintage show will be bigger and better than last year, and many of the events cater for entire families as well as playing host to a large variety of vintage exhibits".
